Our approach

A loan is one decision inside a whole portfolio.

So we start with what you want to build, and work back to the debt that gets you there.

How it works

01

Understand

We start with your goals, then your current position: what you own, who owns it, what it earns, what it can borrow, what you intend to buy next, and how subsequent purchases would be funded. Most of the value is found here, before a lender is named.

02

Structure

We read the policy, choose the entity, size the release, and plan the purchases in an order that works. The complex work sits here: company and trust borrowing, guarantor arrangements, facilities split so each one has a job, and equity released to the size the plan calls for. The loan is the last step rather than the first.

03

Execute

Application to settlement. We chase valuations and lender conditions, take the file to the credit team when the calculator says no, and coordinate with your wider professional team. You hear from us before you have to ask.

04

Hold the line

A regular review of rate, product and capacity. Loans sitting above market get refinanced, splits get tidied up, and the capacity for your next purchase stays alive.

Working with your advisers

Lending is one part of a bigger plan. We work directly with your financial planner, your accountant and your buyers agent, so the borrowing, the structure, the tax treatment and the property are decided together rather than one after another.

Financial planners

The strategy the debt has to fit. Your planner holds the full picture: income, investments, superannuation, the tax position, and where the portfolio needs to be in ten years. We build the debt to serve that.

Accountants

Entity structure and tax treatment, so the way you borrow suits the way you are taxed. The structures on The case for debt are designed with your accountant at the table.

Buyers agents

Market research and location, so the property stands up on its own merits before the loan is written, and the finance keeps pace with the deal.

What we stand for

Been told it cannot be done? That is usually where we start.

Conventional lending pathways are built around the lender. We reject transactional broking and the default solution, and we structure debt deliberately: the entity that borrows, the way the facilities are split, and the order the purchases happen in. For anyone building a portfolio, the standard answer is rarely the best one.

Every lender policy has an edge, and most of the industry stops well short of it. We read the policy document, find the door that is already there, and take the file to the credit team when the calculator says no. We think differently and we do things differently, and that is the reason our clients get outcomes they were told were unavailable.

Reasonable stops too early. When the outcome is right for you, we keep pushing past the point where a polite broker would have accepted the answer. Your best interests are the bar, and we hold the lender, the process and ourselves to it.

We have built wealth for ourselves with the same structures we recommend. Every strategy runs on our own balance sheets and our familiesโ€™ first. We share what worked and what did not, and we draw on the lived experience of our mentors and peers, so our advice comes from conviction rather than theory.

Debt is an extension of your cash reserves, with an interest cost attached. We treat access to debt as a strategic asset, keep it alive across the whole portfolio, and put it to work wherever it produces more than it costs.

The point of all of it is choice: more assets, more income, more time. We structure for today while protecting the next purchase, review regularly, and stay in the conversation for as long as the portfolio grows, so you keep the freedom to act when the opportunity arrives.

Put your debt to work on the life you want.

A first conversation covers your goals, your financial position, your timelines, and the structure that serves all three. No obligation, no fees.
